The great globe research part 2a

I am still awaiting for replies from the emails but while I was waiting I decided to try and scrape more information from the Internet and I found some really useful stats for the basic size for the main sphere.

1 inch = 10 miles for the longitude and latitude (this can be used to calculate the circumference I just need to find out how large they thought the world was in 1851)

3 inches = 10 miles for altitude (this being a larger amount than the previous it means that the globe was intentionally distorted when they created it)

painted onto plaster of Paris (this could help selecting the material settings)

I also found a colour image of the ouside giving me a colour scheme to work from.
