Hydran Refined and Coloured

Hydran as justin said was a bit too human-like so i thought hey why not cut back the cloak a bit so that you can see more of the modified body with an addition of a tail. i also thought of cutting back on some detail to make it more cartoon-like plus i gave him a staff as sorcerers typically have some tool for their power to flow.

i redrew him in photoshop and coloured him in to get the right feel for him.

stage 1: the original sketchStage 2: The Line ArtStage 3: colour with highlightsStage 4: ShadowsStage 5: Saturation change (suggested by Tom Beg)Stage 6: Stylizing

Hi Nathan,
good to see some final designs here - I was beginning to get a little worried! The colours are great and now that you can see the reptilian head, it does work a lot stronger now - great stuff - I look forward to seeing the other designs.

Hi Nathan - I just tried to post this comment, but it 'vanished' before I could finish it; anyway, suffice to say, this is the most confident, resolved and professional piece of work I think you've produced! I've given you a hard time in the past - but now I feel vindicated, because my frustrations are based on my feeling that you're under-performing and are capable of so much more - and here is the proof! Now, I know there's not much time left, but you've just set the standard of your own submission - I want you to work like a dog to ace this test, Nathan... It's time to remake your reputation with the course team and show us that you're serious about making this course work for you! Good luck!
